Community mobilizers in Torit to raise gender violence awareness

Enlighten communities on gender-base violence to enable them know the importance of timely reporting of cases, community mobilizers trainer in Torit appeals to students.
 
Emmanuel Radio quoted Anyama Charles saying Health Link will engage communities to implement awareness campaign on the continuous gender-based violence to the grass root people.
 
He says the objective of the project is to save the life of people who are vulnerable in different communities.
 
Charles says the project is targeting about 2,320 beneficiaries in Nyong, Bur and Himodonge Payams of Torit County.
 
The trainer believes when communities are involved in the implementation of the project, it will reinforce and promote the access to the basic services for vulnerable people.
 
He urges the communities to save life by providing timely and integrated multi sector assistance to reduce the acute needs.
 
Charles was speaking during the training of community leaders in Torit on Tuesday.
