National Caritas staff and non-staffs have celebrated Caritas Day in Juba on Monday.
Head of the National Caritas Gabriel Yai Kuol, told the media the annual occasion was launched to generate funds that can be used for humanitarian assistance through fundraising.
Yai says the organization is facing challenges to secure funds and believes through the celebration they can mobilize resources locally.
He says May was chosen for the celebration because it was the Month the Organization was accepted as a member of Caritas internationally.
The Archbishop of the Catholic Archdiocese of Juba Paulino Lukudu Loro urges Caritas staffs to be respectful individuals when offering humanitarian assistance to the community.
