The Bishop of Akobo Diocese of the Episcopal Church of South Sudan and Sudan or ECSS sheds tears in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia while pleading for peace in the country.
Bishop John Jok Chol while speaking at the Revitalization Forum, warns delegates against spoiling the talks. He said they are the right people to bring peace to the country not the international community.
Bishop Jok stated that people in Akobo are suffering, forcing them to lose hope and practice revenge killing with guns based on tribal lines.
The ECSS prelate warns the negotiating leaders that if they do not talk frankly and bring peace, God will condemn them and they will not be forgiven.
He cautions the politicians against making the Forum a project to benefit themselves.
The ongoing conflict in South Sudan has forced millions to flee their homes and has increased poverty and suffering.
