Civil society organizations are calling on political parties to bridge their gaps and reach lasting peace to rescue South Sudanese from suffering.
Akuoach Ajang Nyanhom, Chairman of South Sudan Civil Society Alliance, says they have resolved that the parties cannot go back to their locations without achieving peace.
He calls for permanent tranquility that will be enjoyed by every South Sudanese.
Amer Manyok Deng of South Sudan Women Bloc advises South Sudanese to have peace in their hearts, starting with relatives and extended to the neighbors.
Government spokesperson, Michael Makuei Lueth, says they want lasting peace that is why there are disagreements in many items being discussed.
He adds that it is difficult because this is the first time the parties are clarifying their positions in governance and security.
The officials spoke on Sunday after the meeting of sub-committees in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
