A pastor of the Lutheran Church of South Sudan has estimated that there are nineteen thousand South Sudanese orphans in Ethiopia alone.
Reverend Jordan Mapiny Long adds that about 500,000 refugees including widows are in Ethiopia.
He calls for South Sudan Churches in Ethiopia and at home to meet and find a way of supporting the orphans and refugees.
The pastor made the announcement on Sunday during the second phase of the Revitalization Forum in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
The conflict in South Sudan has forced many South Sudanese to the neighbouring countries for safety.
