The inspector general for basic and secondary schools from the national ministry of education is in Tonj to train teachers on the new South Sudan’s curriculum and syllabus.
Abdullai Ali reveals that there are (450) teachers from both primary and secondary who are undergoing training in Tonj.
Ali stresses that the time for using curriculums from neighboring countries such as Sudan, Kenya and Uganda is over.
He says the Ministry of General Education has managed to produce its own syllabus for South Sudan which is expected to be printed soon.
The Inspector General adds that it is time to teach South Sudanese young generation about our own environment and history.
