The Southern Sudan Referendum Bureau is pleased and encouraged by the peaceful proceedings of the registration process both in the beginning and n the end.
Aleu Garang Aleu, SSRB spokesperson, wrote in a press release that close to three million people were confirmed registered in Southern Sudan although he added that the Bureau will soon come out with the final reports.Mr. Garang urged all south Sudanese who participated in the registration process to embark on the referendum and take it seriously asserting that it is where the future of southerners lays.
He called upon the registrants to keep their voter cards use them properly on January 9, 2011 which he said is the opportunity to exercise one’s rights.
