The prices of commodities are rising every day in Tonj markets, making it difficult for vulnerable people to get food to sustain their lives.

Simon Angok Angok, a consumer, says prices in the market are highly increasing which makes goods unaffordable to customers, Don Bosco Radio reports.

High prices have negatively affected lives of many people with the low income, Angok points out.

He stresses that only people in the upper classes are able to survive because they have enough money to buy commodities.

One of the traders, says prices increase rapidly in the market every time because they buy from wholesalers with high prices

He adds that wholesalers complain about high rate of dollar making it difficult for them to lower prices of their commodities.

Don Bosco Radio could not reach government officials to comment on the issue.
