The government of Yei River State says the situation in Kaya Payam of Morobo County is calm, after fighting broke out between the SPLA and opposition forces in the area.
Acting Minister of Information, Huda Michael Lowila claims that the opposition group attacked the government position, but was repelled. Easter Radio could not talk to the opposition to verify the claim.
Huda condemns what he termed as ‘barbaric’ incident happening in the state.
She says the government recommits itself to the cessation of hostilities for peace to prevail.
Huda adds that the government will only fight in self defends.
Radio Easter was not able to confirm which armed group carried out the attack on the SPLA position in Kaya Payam in Morobo County.
