The mayor of Torit issued a provisional order early this week prohibiting cultivation along roads within Torit residential and municipal premises.

Juliana Momoi Choho told Radio Emmanuel that anybody violating the order will face punishment.

She advises citizens to clean the roads along their premises for security and health purposes.

All vegetable crops are to be planted within the home premises inside the plot, the Mayor tells residents.

She reveals that the committee will be formed to move around to ensure that the provisional order is followed properly.

Momoi warns that if any citizen found cultivating along the road she/he will face the consequence.

Follow the government laws than imposing other laws to the state and municipality administration, the Mayor tells citizens.

She urges residents to clear the bushes around their houses to reduce the cause of disease.
