The Mayor of Tonj municipal council on Friday has ordered cattle keepers to evacuate the town to avoid air pollution in the town.

Joseph Anei Maddor says the presence of animals in the town makes it difficult for the communities to maintain hygiene and sanitation.

The Mayor notes that the government will work hand in hand with people concerned, to ensure that the law is in place for the safety of those residing in the town.

It is a collective responsibility to keep the town clean to avoid the outbreak of diseases including cholera, Anei explains.
