UN children agency or UNICEF handed primary school materials to Tonj State Ministry of Education on Tuesday, confirms Acting Director-General.
Gum Gaudensio Mateem told Don Bosco Radio that UNICEF has supported education with textbooks, chalks and blackboards.
He says the organization is not able to support secondary schools because the books are still under printing.
Gaudensio appreciates the national government for cooperating with UNICEF organization to support education in South Sudan.
He appeals to secondary students to be patient since the government is working hard to print their books.
The speaker made remarks in an interview to Don Bosco Radio.
