The ongoing conflict between communities of Apuk and Agok of Gogrial State has been use by some top politicians as a project of changing the governor, says Bishop of Episcopal Church of South Sudan Wau Diocese.
Deng Bul says politicians who want governorship incited the youth to fight so that it will be attributed to the failure of the current governor, Voice of Hope Radio reports.
The church is supporting the initiative of disarming civilians, he notes.
He is appealing to politicians to use positive means when looking for positions.
Bishop Bul points out that the communal conflicts in the regions is incited by those hungry for power.
‘We support any means by the government applies to crack down criminal activities even if it is means punishing the thieves for the peace to prevails in Bhar El Ghazal and South Sudan’. the Bishop says.
