Official warns citizens against buying uninspected meat

Torit State Director-General for Animal Resources and Fisheries is strongly warning citizens against buying meat being sold illegally in communities to avoid contraction of meat related diseases.
 
Donato Apari Cholong tells citizens to buy inspected meat from the butchery which he believes health authorities serious screened, Radio Emmanuel reports.
 
He says diseases like brucellosis, Rift Valley Fever and rabbis are very dangerous to human life.
 
Director Apari advises those selling meat both in butcheries and outside to maintain hygiene.
 
Anybody selling meat to the public must be healthy, he cautions.
 
Director Apari decries the lack of slaughter house making it difficult for authorities to inspect meats sold to citizens.
 
He mentions mobility challenge that inhibits the inspection process.
