Police in Yambio of Gbudue State has released dozens of civilians arrested for irresponsible dressing and bad shaving styles.

Anisa Radio on Tuesday saw Minister of Local Government and heads of organized forces moving in Yambio town markets arresting those with indecent dresses and unwanted shaving style.

The operation came after the minister warned the public on Easter Sunday to advise their children to dress properly and stop attending night clubs.

Jackson Ezekiel Buguwa says the move is to improve dressing style in communities.

He advises the released civilians to dress with respect and behave well as they go back to their communities to show good image of Gbudue State.

Ezekiel says they will also move to all schools in the town and all night clubs to regulate the dressing code in the town.

One of the released civilians who preferred not to be named, says they were instructed to dress properly to show good image of the state.

Mathew Ezibon says he was arrested for wearing clothes he was been warned against.

Elders in Yambio appreciates the move by the government.

They say the work will restore the respect and dignity of the people of Gbudue State according to their tradition.
