Men and women, take responsibility to serve in the church as altar servers, Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Yei urges Christians.
Bishop Erkolano Lodu Tombe says he did not see old people serving around the priests at the altar in the whole South Sudan.
Serving at the altar is not only for boys and girls, but also for men and women as it is in many countries like Uganda, he stresses.
Old people are shameful to handle the work of God, Bishop Lodu tells the believers.
He appeals to the elderly people not to be afraid to take up the responsibility of reading and serving in the church.
The catholic prelate made the call on Sunday at Christ the King Cathedral while installing seminarian into Ministry of the Lector.
