Report indicates high cases of Malaria among children under five in Tambura

The weekly health surveillance in Tombura state is indicating high malaria affections with under age five in the area.
 
Marcello Dananyesa Lebben, a surveillance officer says they received 419 cases of malaria for week 13 and 12 Tombura County and 269 were reported for diarrhea in the first week. Anisa Radio reports.
 
He urges citizens to visit health facilities and get treatment to avoid more complications especially among children.
 
‘Both tablets and the injections are now available in the three primary health care Canters of Tambura, Mupoi and Rii- Yubu including Tambura State hospital’ he said.
 
He encourages parents to let children sleeps under treated mosquito nets which had been distributed by PSI to prevent malaria
