High expectations has made peace process unsuccessful to second phase of high level revitalization forum, Speaker of Torit State Assembly tells citizens.

Charles Odwar says many parties were concentrating on their political interests instead of focusing on the real cause of conflicts in the country, Emmanuel Radio reports.

The demand of President Salva Kiir to step down from leadership will not bring about lasting solution to South Sudan’s conflicts, he points out.

Speaker Odwar advises South Sudanese to have hope for peace in the country because it is a negotiation that needs process.

Unnecessary demands from both parties bring continuous conflict in the youngest nation, he cautions.

According to speaker, some conditions that led to the failure of the second phase of the high level revitalization forum include reducing members of parliament and ministers, dissolving SPLM parties among others.
