South Sudan Churches share Easter lunch with street children in Juba

South Sudan Council of Churches, Women Program shared first ever lunch on Easter Monday with about 200 street children in different corners of Juba.
 
Speaking to Radio Bakhita during the event, the children appreciated Women Program for what they have done.
 
Peter Chirr, who spent most of his life in the street, expresses gratitude to South Sudan Council of Churches for the good gesture of Easter lunch.
 
There are a lot of challenges in street, he laments.
 
James Taban, who have also joined street live two years ago, says he wants to go back to school, but no one supports him.
 
It is God’s intervention that entered into the hearts of Women Program of South Sudan Council of Churches to gather street children to the house of God, he admits.
 
Meanwhile Angelina Theophilos Legge of National Women Program and Women Link in the Council says the purpose is to share to Easter lunch with street children.
 
That is not the beginning and the last, but Women Program will continue to do more in future to build relationships with the street kids.
 
South Sudan Council of Churches’ National Women Program organized the event under the theme: ‘Let the children come to me for the kingdom of heaven belongs to them’.
