Chief calls on authorities in Torit to provide them with drinking water

The Sub-chief of Otese Boma in Imatong state has called on the government and the Non-governmental organizations to support the community in the area with clean drinking water.
 
Valente Muze Joseph urges organizations such as Global Aim, Plan, Care International and other related partners working with the government to rehabilitate broken bore holes in the area so citizens can get water. 
 
Muze also admits that his community has shortage of food, calling for assistance and provision of agricultural tools to support local production.
 
The Chief applauds the organizations for the extension of development to the area.
 
Himodonge Payam Administrator Alfred Ohuda encourages the Nongovernmental organizations to continue coming to his Payam, saying the area is conducive for all relief agencies to operate.
 
Ohuda stresses for women education in the area to better their understanding in managerial activities especially in families.
 
Ohuda believes that provision of agricultural tools to the community promotes self-reliance.
 
Angel Omiyang Ongoiti, an agriculturalist from the State Ministry advises the community of Himodonge to use the expected materials properly.
 
Omiyang also warns the community against cutting down of big trees because he says they are sources of rainfall.
 
Omiyang encourages the citizens in the area to report those found cutting big trees to the concerned authorities.
 
On Wednesday, Global Aim in partnership with Plan and Care International met with the community of Himodonge on activities they pledge to implement in the area.
