Monsignor Thomas Oliha Attiyah in an interview with Emmanuel Radio cheers the clergy to accept the gift of preaching the word of God.
Oliha urges them to carry on the mission of Christ with joy and generosity regardless of regrets and consequences.
Oliah believes the word of God is very important especially with the current situation South Sudan is facing.
‘This is your own vocation dear brother priests, and we should be happy with it and be like Jesus when facing our cross in preaching the word of God. The people are eager to hear the word of God specially this time with our situation in South Sudan’. He stressed.
Meanwhile, emeritus Bishop Paride Taban of the Catholic Diocese of Torit urges the faithful to imitate Mary who prepared herself to be used by God.
Bishop Paride advises Priests to give themselves totally to God and serve the people despite challenges.
‘God is telling us not to worry about the future. Each day has its own troubles, just focus on the task at hand’ Bishop Paride added.
At least 15 Priests turned up at Our Lady of Holy Rosary’s Church on Tuesday to renew their Priestly promises.
