An American diplomat has encouraged students and youths in South Sudan to be part of their educational programs.
Regional Public Engagement Specialist of the US Embassy Michael Barclay in an interview with CRN says their desire is to support the youth of South Sudan with knowledge through their American corner initiative
Barclay says The American Corner’s motive is to provide educational support and opportunities at free of cost.
He said the purpose of his visit is to assess their outreach programs and find ways of reaching more people with knowledge
The US diplomat says learning is always important for every one irrespective of background or status that’s why, he added, they have designed various programs to attract more people.
The American corner program is situated at the University of Juba and has provided several opportunities to many South Sudanese youths including how to part of the YALI and Mandela fellowships, and the educational corner which attracts about 2000 readers every month.
