The Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management has developed a three-year strategic plan that seeks to strengthen resiliency against natural and manmade disasters in the country.
Undersecretary in the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Gatwech Peter Kulang, told Radio Bhakita that the plan will help vulnerable communities affected by disasters to cope and be resilient.
Country Representative of Netherlands Red Cross in South Sudan Arvind Das, says the plan would help aid organizations to collaborate with government to tackle the humanitarian crisis in the country.
The framework which runs from 2018 to 2020 also demands the government and aid agencies to prioritize recovery, reintegration and resilience in their programs.
