The commissioner of Jak County of Tonj state says citizens in his county are lacking pure drinking water.

Speaking to Radio Don Bosco on Wednesday, John Akot Chuol says his county is experiencing water shortages since its establishment in 2015.

He appeals to state government and NGOs to assist the communities with hand pump.

Commissioner Akot says the community is also lacking agricultural tools because some NGOs cannot access the area due to poor roads.

Akot requests the governmental and non-governmental Organizations to support the farmers with tools for cultivation.
