South Sudanese living with disabilities are committed fully to the referendum on self-determination.

Susan Ide, chairperson of Women with Disabilities in southern Sudan, told Bakhita Radio that disability was not inability.

Ms. Ide added that disabled can participate in every field of life including the referendum.

Ms. Ide said people with disabilities are part of the community and have the right to vote for separation.

Ms. Ide made these statements yesterday during a march to celebrate the day of people with disabilities.

Students, several government officials and UN agencies took part in the march.
