A clinical officer at Yambio Primary Health Centre says the cases of hepatitis are on rise in Gbudue state.
Lawrence Young says the disease spread through blood or body fluids of an infected person to another.
He adds that Hepatitis is a disease that destroys liver and other parts of the body got through sexual intercourse, sharing needles and during child birth.
The clinical officer says the signs and symptoms are fever, joint pain, feeling fatigue, vomiting, nausea, loss of appetite and dark urine.
He adds that the disease can be prevented through proper use of gloves when treating infected person.
Lawrence urges people to go for check up to know their status and get vaccine when negative or starts treatment when positive.
He acknowledges the shortage of vaccine for the disease and appeals to partners to help by bringing vaccine.
The disease is classified as Hepatitis A, B and C but the common in Gbudue state is B.
