Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Animal resources in Tonj State has discouraged the public from illegal cutting down of trees as they attract rainfall.
Angelo Deng Magol stresses that cutting of trees is prohibited by the law.
He warns that destroying them affects the soil and rainfall.
He appeals to Tonj state people to stop the practice.
Deng Magol also stresses that the ministry is working hard to come up with rules and regulations that safeguard trees in the state.
A citizen who identifies himself as Deng for Good says, trees are very important because they give shadow, fruits and oxygen to people.
