Officials at Iboni Primary Health Care Centre in lopa County of Imotong state say absence of power in the facility affects the day today running of the Health centre.

Speaking to Emmanuel Radio in Torit, Michael Ohuru calls on health partners and state government to fixed solar and cold chain to keep drugs in good condition.

He says although the PHCU lacks light, the facility has enough drugs to sustain their patients for the next few months.

‘this thing should be fixed like solar in case someone is admitted the light can assist the patient sometimes we use our touch at night to this are the things we are now demanding like solar and cold chain’

Ohuru reveals that the facility lack midwives to administer pregnant mothers during labor.

He believes insecurity restricts mothers in the villages to seek anti-natal care in the Primary Health care Unit

//many pregnant mothers used to go to Imehejek but now the road is not good because of insecurity

‘You can see even now we are worried for the pregnant mothers while they are going to imehejek they are supposed to fix this thing here in this facility we don’t have also register for antenatal clang so these are the things we are facing we just using the outreach’

Ohuru is urging the state government and its partner to support the health facility so as to meet the standard of a health centre.
