The Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Tombura –Yambio says there is no any problem between the Church and the government in the area.
Bishop Barani Eduardo Hiiboro Kussala appeals to the government to clarify to the church, in case it has any issue, Anisa Radio reports.
He says the church was shocked by the arrest of Fr Joseph Getnjji.
Bishop Hiiboro is requesting those who arrested him to give the reason.
He also calls on the government to notify the church if any priest does something wrong, before taking any action.
Bishop Hiiboro stresses that the church is for the people of God to pray and worship Him.
He appeals to everybody to continue working for peace and help one another.
Bishop Hiiboro made the statement on Saturday during the closing day of the Diocesan annual assembly at Palica.
