The Catholic Diocese of Tambura-Yambio is set to conduct 2018 annual assembly this week, says Diocesan pastoral coordinator.
The meeting includes representative from all parishes, religious communities and all departments under the Diocese to PALICA in Nzara this week, explains Fr Raphael Diko.
The general assembly is to bring the diocesan family together to evaluate the work that has been done some years’ back, he notes.
In the assembly they will also evaluate and share achievements, challenges and how to resolve them, Fr Diko adds.
The meeting will look at areas that need more intervention from the church in this New Year plan.
After the assembly the priests within the Diocese will have one-week annual retreat to pray so that they can be strengthened and enriched spiritually and to be able to administer to the people of God, the Coordinator explains.
He calls on Christians to pray for the success of the general assembly and annual retreat for priests.
This year Diocesan annual assembly is conducted under the theme: ‘I came that they might have light and have it more abundantly’.
The pastoral coordinator was speaking to Anisa Radio on Friday.
