Imotong State receives National Rapid Response Team from Juba

Imotong State Ministry of Health has received National Rapid Response Team from Juba to help strengthen the management of an outbreak of Meningitis related disease in the state.
 
Minister Paska Hifita Oduho, says they have received a team which includes two medical doctors, lab technician and nurses from Juba Teaching Hospital. Radio Emmanuel  reports.
 
Hifita reveals that the team of experts has been sent to the ground to collect the samples in a right way to help in intervention of the epidemic.
 
The Minister explains that the expert’s team will still be treating based on the symptoms of the disease with the aid of antibiotics brought.
 
Hifita adds that health authorities have sent one more ambulance to help transport patients from far distances to the treatment scene.
 
Hifita urges the communities to avoid contact with the infected ones including those who die of the disease.
 
The Minister calls on those in areas affected by the outbreak of the epidemic to remain calm as health authorities work to contain the disease.
