Governor orders civilians to summit guns before state of emergency

The Governor of Tonj State has ordered all the civilians who are fighting among themselves, to willingly report their firearms before applying state of Emergency.
 
Anthony Bol Madut gave his order after his arrival from Tonj East to Wanhalel County, Don Bosco Radio reports.
 
Addressing the gathering, he observes that all the cattle keepers in the area own guns, which is causing unnecessary and continues killing of people in the State.
 
He directs twenty two county commissioners and the local chiefs to register all the guns they have.
 
Madut threatens to shoot those who will not accept to put down their firearms.
 
He calls on the organized forces to be on standby.
 
The Governor’s order aims to pave way for free movement among the people without fear, to realize development in the county and South Sudan at large.
