A Police official from the Southern Sudan Police Service (SSPS) said time is still fitting to train officers that will protect the referendum process.
The referendum is a month and a few days away.
Speaking to Bakhita Radio, Moses Lakiko, SSPS coordinator with UNMIS said the current police training taking place is not late to cover main topics of the course.
Mr. Lakiko added that some states completed the training while others like Central Equatoria and Eastern Equatoria among others are still training.
He revealed that about six thousand officers are about to complete training in Rajaf.
Mr. Lakiko was speaking at a five-week training programme for 40 police officers both from north and south Sudan.
