The top SPLA-IO officers loyal to Taban Deng Gai on Monday declared their intention to join the government forces in Imotong State.

At least seven opposition fighters have already joined and others are expected to come, confirms Tobiolo Alberio Oromo, Governor of Imotong State.
He appreciates the team headed by Brigadier General Joseph Igga Yuggu which he says gives hope for peace in the state and the country at large.
Governor Alberio promises to work hand in hand with IO forces to bring about positive peace in the state and South Sudan as a whole.
He urges arm forces still in the bush to come back home so as to strengthen the move for peace in South Sudan.
The team headed by Brigadier General Joseph Igga Yuggu was receive by IO Major General David Okot and welcome by top government officials at state secretariat.
The officials were talking to the press after their meeting at state Secretariat in Torit on Monday.
