There is need for communities members to rebuild confidence and trust among themselves so that they are able to live in peace as neighbors, says head of the civil society forum in Wau State.
Addressing one-day trust building forum, Joseph Luka Akuar, says the recent series of violence and conflict in South Sudan have created mistrust among citizens, Voice of Hope Radio reports.
He adds rebuilding that trust again will help civilians live in peace with each other.
Luka reveals that one of the tools of rebuilding the trust among citizens is to ensure police stations are established across the area.
The citizens also say the army should be paid their salaries on time to support their families with food so that they do not steal property of civilians.
Citizens also call for the continuation of such forum so that they can voice their concerns to the government authorities.
Rebuilding trust forum was under the theme: ‘Let us build trust, build peace among ourselves for better future’.
