Tonj state acting governor calls for an end to communal fighting in the area

The Deputy Governor of Tonj State has confirmed on Wednesday that fighting has started again between Thiik and Jal Wau communities.
 
Manhiem Bol Malek discourages the two communities from communal violence which he says can lead to destruction and lost of lives, Don Bosco reports.
 
The fighting will not take people anywhere, he adds.
 
Malek outlines cattle theft as the root cause of the fighting by youth in the two areas.
 
He adds that the commissioners of Jal Wau and Gabagok counties have put their efforts to rescue the situation.
 
He acknowledges the efforts put by organized forces to protect people’s lives and property.
 
The deputy Governor gives the comments after his return from Tonj East on Wednesday in Tonj.
