The intervention of South Sudan Council of Churches was powerful to the High Level Revitalization Forum in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, says UK Special Envoy to South Sudan and Sudan.

Chris Trott describes the presence of Archbishop Paolino Lukudu and other Bishops as strength to guide the instinct of talks.

He hopes all people felt the power of the church so that they are subjected to results.

‘For me, Archbishop Paulino’s intervention in whole yesterday was very powerful. I hope that all of those that were sitting in the hall felt the strength of his opinion’ Trott expresses. ‘In a way, I am pleased to say that he was either reflecting or guiding our intent which is that, you know, for people to be subjected to consequences’ he explains

The Envoy expresses optimism that the presence of all invited parties and civil society organizations would produce good results in South Sudan.

‘The key thing, at the moment, is that you have all the parties that have been invited to take part in this meeting sitting in a room talking to each other. He said

‘You have some very effective civil society engagement, people making the case on behalf of ordinary South Sudanese for their political leaders to make peace and to compromise.’ The envoy adds
