Troika wants serious talks to achieve peace in South Sudan

The Troika countries call on the parties in High Level of Revitalization Forum in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia to engage in serious talks to achieve peace in the country.
 
British Senior Advisor on South Sudan and Sudan, Paul Sutphin expresses disappointment on the many violations of the cessation of hostilities signed on December 21, 2017.
 
He hopes the parties talk in a constructive manner to reach peace to save people suffering.
 
Chris Trot of United States of America calls for seriousness and genuine commitment to the peace talks.
 
He applauds the IGAD for their steps taken to bring South Sudan’s parties together so as to bring peace to the country. He urges the parties to stick to their obligations of implementing the signed ceasefire.
 
Trot also calls on the regional countries to call off the flow of the arms in South Sudan so that it can attain peace.
 
Ambassador Trilling Stochinburg of Norway re-echoes commitment to the talks to yield fruits this week.
 
The second round of the revitalization of the peace deal of August 2015 begun on Monday in Addis Ababa.
