Mapel Health Centre to be upgraded to hospital

The ministry of health in Wau state pledges to upgrade Mapel health centre to hospital to reduce the burden of transporting patients to Wau Teaching hospital.

Minister promised to cooperate with greater Jur River counties and other partners to support the plans of upgrading Mapel hospital.
 
‘The transfer of patients from Mapel to Wau has been one of the serious challenges facing people, since there are no hospital ambulances and the distance is too far’. He adds.
 
Poor road infrastructures also worsen the condition of the patients when traveling to towns where there are good health care.
 
Minister James promised to work with commissioners of Jur River counties and Wau state government to improve health condition of the rural peoples
