The altar servants of St Peter and Paul’s Cathedral have elected their new leaders.
Aerin Fatiere, 18 year old female was declared a winner and will be assisted by Joseph Taban, Emmanuel Radio reports.
Joseph Taban, the newly elected Deputy Chairperson says leadership needs commitment because it is not an easy task.
He advises his colleagues to have pure hearts by controlling their anger and fighting and serve God’s people.
Margret Imam Bongo, representative of St Peter and Paul Cathedral, thanks the alter servants for the peaceful election.
She urges the new leaders not to fear but work hard to strengthen the work of God.
Dr Isaac Aliardo Councilor of St Peter and Paul Parish says leadership in Christ is a responsibility that builds and strengthens people’s faith.
Fr Jackino Lomogo Parish Priest calls on the new members to aim at serving God’s people but not to be served.
He also tells the new leaders to show good example to the rest and abstain from wrong deeds.
The speakers made the remarks at St Peter and Paul Cathedral in Torit last week.
