Kapoeta Nadapal road has resumed operations on Monday after three days of inactivity due to high way robberies by unknown gunmen.
Kapoeta State Minister of Information, Sam Felix Makuja, confirms that unidentified criminals frequently stop people and NGOs cars and loot their property on the roads, Emmanuel Radio reports.
He says the state government is patrolling the road to deal with the attackers.
The worst incident happened last week on Thursday and Sunday, where NGOs Trucks and other vehicles were looted, threatening road safety, Minister Felix reports.
He acknowledges that majority of the civil population in Kapoeta own guns in their houses.
The Minister warns that continues road robberies will block humanitarian access and business operations in the state.
