The Members of the Legislative Assembly are keen to see that the National Dialogue end positively, says Chairperson of Information Committee in the Parliament.
Paul Yoane Bonju says MPs do not want to see a negative end of the process so that the world does laugh at South Sudanese.
He calls on the executive not to see journalists as soldiers and their cameras and recorders as guns.
Yoane points out that journalists and many South Sudanese are traumatized because their freedom of expression is abused.
UNDP Country Director, Kamil Kamal Aldin says the National Dialogue should be used for making peaceful society.
Freedom of expression should not be restricted to a specific sector, but be for all stakeholders, he notes.
The official were addressing high level forum on freedom of expression on Thursday in Juba.
The forum was under the theme: ‘Fostering freedom of expression and access to information to create conducive environment for national dialogue and peace building’.
