Armed Opposition releases three humanitarian aid workers in Wau

Opposition group released three humanitarian workers in Wau after been detained for more than five months.
 
Yohannah Philip Augustino, Coordinator for Unity Cultural and Development Centre explains that Angelo Bencensio, Anthony Jabakan and Natale Arkangelo were released late last week, Radio Voice of Hope reports.
 
The opposition group arrested the three aid workers in July last year when they were on assessment of food security among IDPs in Baggari area, he notes.
 
Philip confirms that three men are now with their families in Wau and they will resume their work soon.
 
The coordinator tells public that they will resume work after getting an assurance from Wau State authorities and security that they are free to move.
 
Philip expresses the gratitude for the efforts made by the Red Cross, the Opposition group and the government to have humanitarian aid workers freed.
 
‘This is a good effort towards peace and development’, he stresses.
