The problem that caused the crisis in the country is because the political leaders want to stay in power forever,  says a priest in the Catholic Diocese of Yei.

Fr Alex Lodiong says people who are capable of leading the country are marginalized and not given opportunities to rule South Sudan, Radio Easter reports.

The political leaders do not have the idea of stepping down to pave way to others to lead, he points out.

The priest urges the people to continue praying and digesting the word of the Lord for them to get God’s blessings.

Fr Lodiong made the remarks at Christ the Cathedral on Sunday.
