Ignorance is the cause of increase of child mortality in many communities in South Sudan and Africa, says a midwife at Tonj Civil Hospital.

Albino Udom stresses that many children are dying across the country because of high ignorance of disease among communities, Radio Don Bosco reports.

The midwife appeals to parents to take good care of their children because they are vulnerable.

If malaria takes long in the body of a child, it can finish red blood cells and develop into anemia then it kills, he cautions.

Midwife advises parents to take their children for testing to avoid disease.
