The body of the late Emeritus Bishop of Malakal Diocese Vincent Mojwok Nyiker will arrive in Juba on Tuesday.
The body will be flown from Khartoum, Sudan at 10:00AM.
The body will be taken to Saint Theresa’s Cathedral in Juba for requiem mass.
The body of the late bishop will be flown to Malakal on Wednesday at Saint Joseph Cathedral.
The late Bishop was born in 1933 in Atieng village of Tonga payam, Panyikang County in Upper Nile State, a Shilluk by Tribe.
Bishop Mojwok started his primary school in Tonga elementary in 1947- 1949 and joined Atar Teacher’s Training College in 1950 and graduated the following year.
He was serving as a teacher in Lul Elementary School and again joined Okaro (Yai) Minor Seminary between 1952 and1956.
He was sent to Tore River Major Seminary from 1956 to1963 where he was then ordained priest.
He was consecrated Bishop on the 21st of July 1963 by Archbishop Erneo Wien Dut.
Bishop Mojwok was later appointed as the apostolic Administrator for the Diocese of Malakal in 1977 and consecrated as Bishop on May 27th 1979 in Rome by Pope John Paul II.
