The government of South Sudan discloses plans to reduce the level of illiteracy in South Sudan by fifty percent.
Michael Makuei Lueth says the cabinet approves the policy of the national general education and strategic plan following presentation by Minister Deng Deng Hoc. On Friday
He says the objective was to reduce illiteracy in the country. He admits, the illiteracy rate is seventy three percent.
The Minister has also requested for the implementation of the general education act which talks of the allocation of ten percent financial budget to education, says Makuei.
The cabinet promises that the financial budget be allocated to the Ministry for better education to lay the foundation of learners in South Sudan.
