Eight states will not sit for Secondary Exams, says Minister

Eight states will not sit for the coming South Sudan Secondary Certificate Exams, announced National Minister of Education on Thursday.
 
Deng Deng Hoc mentions that Fashoda, Latjor, Mawut, Fangak, Akobo, Central Upper Nile, Bieh and Southern Liech are the states that will not sit the exams.
 
Insecurity and lack of candidates are some of the reasons why the states will not have the exams.
 
Minister Deng also announces that the secondary exams have been postponed from February 5 to 12.
 
He apologizes for any inconvenience made.
 
All necessary preparations, including producing of new time table are completed and will be circulated to all schools in the next few days, Minister Deng adds.
 
Over 13 thousand candidates are expected to sit the exams, comprising 3,686 females and 10, 135 males in 167 centres.
 
Minister Deng wishes the candidates good luck in their final exams.
