‘Respect women because they are our mothers’, Archbishop of Episcopal Church of South Sudan, calls on the conflicting communities in South Sudan.

Archbishop Daniel Deng Bul says the Church considers killing of a woman and a child in war, as a major crime.

He urges South Sudanese to respect women and children, avoid burning of houses and resolve their grievances through dialogue.

The Archbishop reminds people who kill females in conflict, that they do not want women and are against God.

He calls on the killers to accept their mistakes before church authorities accuse them before God.

Archbishop Deng explains that the church is to prepare the ground so that people accept the truth and respect each other for the national dialogue to succeed.

If the people of South Sudan change their hearts and accept the truth, peace will prevail and there will be no conflict, he cautions.
