A catholic priest of the Diocese of Torit is calling on parents to be always near their children and guide them accordingly.
Fr Anthony Odoemelam during his homily on Sunday says being close to children enables parents understand their value, Radio Emmanuel reports.
He tells guardians to spend their time with children for them to learn and be focused.
Fr Odoemelam discourages parents from giving birth to so many children when they cannot take good care of them.
He recommends parents to practice self control instead of family planning.
The priest warns fathers against levelling their wives as second-hand materials.
He stresses the need for unity among family members.
Fr Odoemelam was preaching at Our Lady of Holy Rosary Parish in Torit on Sunday.
